I'm still alive. I've been pretty busy this summer, and sadly this is the only art I have done. Later I might go back and give this a proper bg as well as fix some areas, but for now I'll leave this as is.
I swear I just saw this pop up somewhere here on dA completely random and I can't for my life remember where. But that's not really important to my comment, so moving right along!
For a subject so difficult, you do a very nice job of capturing his character! The details in his face, especially, distinguish him from just some generic dude with a gun and a fancy suit.
The shading is a bit rough--which is fine--but I think with some practice you could achieve a much more realistic effect! I recommend using lower opacities with softer/scattered brushes. This helps distribute color more evenly and allows for easier blending!
Great work on the smoke, too, it's such a small detail but it really adds to the piece! Thanks for sharing
Maybe he's not easy to draw because you are trying to fit all of his EPIC into one sheet of paper or one screen? it's more than a bit impossible, but you somehow achieved it, and did it really well. Well done ^w^
Wow, the intensity of his face is just mind-blowing. That expression.
The only thing I could really offer critique on might be the use of harsher, more contrasting shadows. Especially considering that the dark grays really blend in with one another to the point of all looking nearly the same color, just shaded a bit. If you added some almost black shades to his outfit, I really think it would make him pop. Just my opinion.
I love the style and the expression on his face! Great textures and pose too. Looks very accurate. This is a stupid question, but what is this a fanart of? Is it like a video game? Sorry I'm just wondering because I don't recognize the name "Freeman."
Really wonderful work on coloring. Shading is also very good but however there is still room for improvement I think you have some serious potential and with a little of practice you can become a really good artist in few years. I personally recommend you to post your art into some groups, it will help you to promote your art better and get more feedback.
